I’m so excited to share Morgan and Luke’s incredible winter wedding at the Carolina Grove in Hillsborough with you today! The color scheme was warm, lush, and romantic and the glitz and gold accents added a touch of glamour. The bride and her bridal party were major Swifties, so of course we incorporated a fun Taylor element!
Before we dive into the wedding day details, I must give an honorable mention to the save-the-dates! They were in a vellum envelope with a frosted detail. But the most amazing aspect had to be the gold confetti inside the envelope! Talk about setting the stage for an amazing night. Next, we designed the invitations which had a gold metallic vellum liner with a white ink venue illustration (obsessed). We decided on gold thermography printing on each card. If you’re curious about the printing methods I offer and what they entail, this blog post is for you. I had so much fun with this monogram crest by using holly and winter accents. For the ceremony programs, we choose a gold vellum metallic overlay and ribbon tie. When we “tied it all together” it was pure perfection!
Moving onto day-of details, the most showstopping element of the day had to be the Taylor Swift themed seating chart. It was made perfect with velvet draping adorned with the lyrics from “Lover”. Guests walked up to select handmade individually lit snowglobe ornaments, each with custom monogrammed ribbon and escort tags. I think this statement seating chart certainly set the tone for the rest of the reception! The welcome sign also turned some heads with its acrylic and hot pink accents! For the additional details, we choose frosted acrylic signage. You’ll see the cohesive design with the cards and gifts sign, signature sips bar sign, and table numbers.
Lastly, no event is complete without some fun bar elements! We created custom monogram cocktail napkins and bar panels with a velvet bar fabric menu on the wall behind the bar. We also had a fabric bar sign for the beer and wine near the glass bar back display. This wedding was the perfect mesh of classy and whimsy – I think it was the most magical winter wedding, don’t you?
