Rachel and Thomas’ spring wedding at the Merrimon Wynne was a colorful masterpiece. I had the honor of helping them design their iniviation suite and day-of details and I can’t wait to share their wedding with you today! This venue in the heart of downtown Raleigh is iconic, and whether your wedding consists of neutrals or vibrant colors, the venue is always stunning.
For this formal affair, we customized the Wedding Crest collection suite in shades of lavender and spring pastels. We also added some black and white accents to bring in a classic element. The fun didn’t stop at their wedding invitations, though! We greeted guests with the classic wedding venue welcome sign which showcased the same watercolor venue illustration that matched their invitation. If there’s one thing I love, it’s cohesiveness! The welcome sign wasn’t the only way we made a first impression when the guests arrived. A fabric seating chart with their custom crest was placed inside the house. It was a gorgeous lavender purple with white lettering. It was a real show-stopper!
Fun Favors That Incorporate Your Venue
Lastly, I’ve got to address one of the cutest favor ideas that Rachel and Thomas gave their guests. Each guest was given a custom deck of playing cards adorned with my watercolor venue illustration of the Merrimon Wynne with their name and wedding date. I love it when guests give something practical AND beautiful to their guests. That is the type of favor that can last years and get lots of use. Who doesn’t love a good game of cards?
