The summer may be coming to an end, but this patriotic wedding lives rent free in my mind! Getting to tie in holiday theming into celebrations is one of my favorite things to do as a stationery designer. So when Landon and Sydney inquired about their July 4th wedding at Hayfield at Murchison Farms in Liberty, NC I was all in!
To set the stage, we designed a classic invitation suite feautring a custom wedding crest. The envelope and liner were the perfect nod to the red, white, and blue theming. There was no doubt when opening this suite that this couple had a love of their country, and each other 😉 We tied in the theme in a subtle way that was classy but also undeniably patriotic. I also helped design a lot of fun impactful elements including the welcome sign, napkins, koozies, drink menus, and the guest book featured a custom water color venue illustration.
Unforgettable Details
One of my favorite details of this patriotic wedding was quite possible the seating chart. With inspiration from their amazing planner (Cheyenne of Sweet Oak Events), we created an incredible masterpiece! By giivng a nod to the preamble, we came up with the phrase “We the newlyweds invite you to celebrate our perfect union” displayed on three pillars. Each pillar was painted in red, white, and blue and featured the guests names alphabetically. The florist was able to add some beauty to the tops of each pillar which really made this pop!
In conclusion, the overall the goal was to blend Sydney’s cool California roots with Landon’s homegrown southern traditions. I believe we accomplished that goal and their planner Cheyenne did a picture perfect job bringing it all together! If you’re looking to make your wedding an unforgettable event, let’s chat!
