I first met with Caitlin to discuss customizing a suite from The Venue Collection for her spring wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill. Filled with inspiration from Harmony Weddings and beautiful imagery, her vision board directed the overall look of her wedding suite. With wax seals and embroidery floss, we added a sweet personal touch to what is otherwise more commonly known as “The Classic Suite” from my Venue Collection. From there, we kept personalizing the day-of details to really let Caitlin and Trent’s personalities and unique details shine. Read on below to see how they made a suite from The Venue Collection all their own.
The Barn of Chapel Hill Spring Wedding Invitation Suite
After our initial consultation, it was clear that Caitlin loved a pretty wax seal. Pulling a monogram from my design library, we were able to replace the spot where a venue illustration usually sits. In the photo below, you’ll notice that on the main invitation we put a wax seal at the top instead! A beautiful wrap of embroidery floss in a coordinating sage green rested behind the gold wax seal, and added a romantic flair to the design overall. This physical, “3-d” touch added a lot of texture to her suite and played well with the greens and soft shades of the Barn of Chapel Hill venue illustration that’s a part of the Venue Collection! Caitlin decided to customize it even further with a pretty dusty blue envelope, calling to her wedding day palette as well.
Caitlin and Trent’s Barn of Chapel Hill Wedding Day
When it was time for the big day, we continued calling on that lovely sage green color for the fonts of the couple’s signage, and added their Shuler Studio monogram for consistency throughout.
One of my favorite details was the cute pet illustrations that highlighted their signature drink signs! The couple opted for a large print and rented some frames and easels from my own inventory for display, as well as some smaller prints and frames for a tabletop display during cocktail hour, too!
A Book Lover’s Seating Chart Dream
After the picture-perfect ceremony, the couple celebrated with their friends and family inside the spacious barn. Their reception was stunning – with light-filled, airy spaces and beautiful flowers all around. As guests entered the reception space, they were greeted with a fun seating chart display dreamed up by Harmony Weddings and complete with boxwood walls from Cottage Luxe, and vellum printed seating assignments inside lovely light pink books on modern clear acrylic easels from my rental inventory. A collaboration “for the books” (pun intended, sorry!)
The Perfect Pair
Creating Caitlin and Trent’s Barn of Chapel Hill spring wedding invitations was so much fun! I enjoyed every minute of working with them. I enjoy all the ways we can make a semi-custom invitation suite, like the Classic Suite from the Venue Collection, shine with a couple’s personalities. My goal is always to bring my couple’s vision to life and create a cohesive suite for them. I would love the opportunity to help you create the wedding stationery of your dreams whether through fully custom stationery or semi-custom options, too!
