Today I am showcasing a gorgeous May wedding that took place at Walnut Hill in Raleigh, NC. Without a doubt, Aleah and Aidan’s wedding was nothing short of magical. With the design and vision put together by planner Kaisey Wilkinson, I knew their classic and timeless wedding would come together seamlessly. They were a dream to collaborate with and they poured their heart into every detail of their wedding. While collaborating, we ensured each element reflected their personalities and love story.
A Green & White Palette with Personal Meaning
Their wedding day was overflowing with greenery, soft white roses, and neutral tones that brought a sense of timeless elegance to the celebration. Additionally, they infused family heritage by subtly incorporating their family tartan colors. This added yet another layer of meaningfulness to their big day.
The Suite: Classic & Custom
For their wedding invitations, we created a classic and timeless 4-piece suite that was refined, yet perfectly tailored to their style. Featuring neutral tones and delicate design elements, the suite set the tone for a timeless and elegant event. Additionally, we created a unique crest—a monogram representing their union—that was woven throughout every piece of their wedding stationery. From the moment guests opened their invitations, they could feel the personal touches Aleah and Aidan thoughtfully curated.
A Wedding Filled with Special Details
Aleah and Aidan’s crest made its appearance in so many unique ways. A standout was the laser-cut acrylic crest cake applique that adorned their beautiful wedding cake. Its intricate design brought dimension and charm, adding a touch of custom flair to their dessert display.
We also loved working with them on incorporating their crest into passed appetizer linens, making sure every detail tied together seamlessly.
For guests arriving at the wedding, we designed an 18×24 foamcore welcome sign that greeted them in style. The custom piece matched the theme perfectly and guided everyone with elegance. Their reception included delightful accents like custom cocktail napkins, folding tabletop placecards, and beautiful table numbers that blended into the lush, green aesthetic of the event.
A Showstopper Seating Chart
One of the most memorable stationery pieces was their three-panel chapel-shaped seating chart, which utilized the stunning Greenhouse Picker Sisters’ chapel trellis stands. This seating chart was not only functional but also served as a breathtaking design feature in itself. The chapel-inspired frames were adorned with greenery and delicate blooms, tying in perfectly with the natural beauty of Walnut Hill.
Personal Touches: A Story Told in Stationery
The attention to detail didn’t stop there. Aleah’s bouquet held sentimental value, featuring a white embroidered sash with their duogram—an elegant nod to their shared life and new beginnings. The same crest appeared on the wreaths decorating the church, a detail that tied everything together in a heartfelt way.
Additionally, their custom acrylic 3-D bar panels added a sophisticated level of depth and dimension to the bar area, creating a striking focal point.
To give their guests a sweet keepsake, we designed koozies and matches featuring their custom elements. At the head table, beautifully printed napkins added a final touch of personalized luxury.
A Hand-Painted Gift
One of the most special moments in the design process was when their photographer, Arika Shalest, surprised the couple with a hand-painted champagne bottle. It was such a joy to bring this unique piece to life, creating a meaningful keepsake that Aleah and Aidan could treasure for years to come
Working with Aleah and Aidan was such a joy, and we’re thrilled to have helped bring their vision to life. Every piece of custom stationery told a part of their story, and it was an honor to be part of such a special moment.
