Garden-Inspired Styled Shoot at Lavender Oaks

POSTED ON

January 11, 2022

I was so honored to be a part of this styled shoot at Lavender Oaks with fellow North Carolina vendors! The shoot had an outdoor garden theme which paired perfectly with the venue and its sprawling fields of blooming lavender. After spending a day there, I feel confident saying that anyone would be fortunate to book it for their wedding.

Located outside Chapel Hill, Lavender Oaks was established just seven years ago by the MacDonalds, a couple who were inspired to start their own lavender farm after a vacation to Provence. The two put extraordinary care into making Lavender Oaks not just a functioning farm, but a luxurious event venue. Featuring getting-ready suites, a gazebo, a historical barn, and more, this venue is truly the complete package.

Semi-Custom Invitation Suite for Lavender Oaks Farm

Our shoot at Lavender Oaks took place at the height of the lavender season. Accordingly, I felt inspired by the fields there when crafting stationery for the event. Invitations are a fantastic way to introduce your guests to the feel of your wedding day, and I wanted these to be no different. When creating the venue illustration for the invitations, I made sure to include the lavender fields. I also sealed each envelope with wax embedded with dried lavender buds from the farm. In addition, I created a circular card for each table setting with an excerpt from a sentimental poem written on it. In lieu of a standard menu, this was a great way to add a personal touch to the tablescape.

Why Semi-Custom Invitations?

In light of personalizing your wedding day, the invitation suite featured below is actually from my semi-custom venue collection! With this option, I will craft semi-custom invitations for you and your partner inspired by your chosen venue. Since these are faster to create than fully custom invitations, I always encourage clients with a tighter timeline or budget to consider them. My semi-custom package also allows you to choose from a pre-set selection of envelope colors, font styles, and ink selections. Between the reasonable cost and the opportunity to spotlight what makes your venue special, it’s a win-win!

I cannot state enough how much I enjoyed this shoot at Lavender Oaks, and the opportunity to work with such talented vendors. If you would like, you can read more about it in this feature from Heart of NC Weddings! And, if the idea of semi-custom wedding invitations has piqued your interest, then I would love the opportunity to chat and tell you more. Just drop me a line here, and we’ll start the conversation!
